Mallory and Boone are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met. It is hard to deny the love they have for each other. I have had the privilege of knowing these two for about two years now. They are a beautiful couple and are so supportive of each other in all of their adventures.
We all love a good fairy tale. Young or old, all can relate to the fantasy world of good vs. evil, hopes and dreams, ball gowns and crowns, happy endings and new beginnings. I started this project in July for two of my best friends who are big fans of some very well known fairy tales. I wanted to create a photo project that captured the essence of these popular princesses, a project that would speak for itself.
While in Portland I created a photo that has been produced many times before. This is a gorgeous scene, who wouldn't want to take a picture of this amazing waterfall? While taking photos of well know spots, I never want to take a photo just to have a photo.
I hate the dressing room... its evil. I have had body image issues for as long as I can remember. I've heard it all; I need to love myself, embrace my curves (I know you are probably thinking 'what curves', just because you can not see them does not mean they are not there), just love the body I have. However, its easier said than done. I struggle not picking myself apart every day. I have made major progress but have miles to go.
In a society full of technology and fast paced mentalities though, we do not stop to fully enjoy and appreciate the beauty out there. I started this project as a way to explore and study the beautiful shapes and forms of nature. Sure a leaf is a leaf, but have you ever stopped to realize how many different shapes and sizes leaves come in? A lot! And they are beautiful!
I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with some very talented artists! We decided recently to start doing photo walks and meetups together. It has turned into a really fun and exciting group.
Who doesn't love to recieve something in the mail? I know I do! Especially now that my husband and I live so far from friends and family. I started pen pals with several people as a way to stay in touch in a fun and exciting way.
If you missed last Mondays post, I recently went antique store shopping and was able to accomplish two DIY crafts. The first one was a new hand towel rack for our bathroom. For this post I am going to share our new spice rack.
I have grown up around old cars my entire life. As a kid I hated going to old car shows, I found them very boring. However, I slowly started to like learning about the cars and even started to pick out my favorites. I was partial to the old trucks, for some reason those are my favorite. Today, my parents are apart of an old car club and still go to car shows.
